Mira Showers is creating large scale opportunities in the electric shower replacement market with the launch of Jump: its new entry level appliance. Importantly, the new shower features, for the first time from Mira, a right-hand water inlet. This makes it the perfect replacement model for other, lesser brands of electric shower, which commonly feature right-hand water inlets.
The retrofit opportunity has been central to the design of Jump, which incorporates many features to simplify the replacement installation. These include a swivel water inlet which accepts rising, rear or side entry connections from the right, multiple pipe entry points and the capacity to accept push fit or compression type fittings.
Similarly, there are multiple cable entry points for electrical connection accessible from both the right and left hand side thanks to the dual terminal blocks. Removable case inserts remove the need for time-consuming and fiddly case cutting, while the shower control box and fittings are designed to cover existing screw holes, so there’s no need to make good.
Not only is the new Jump perfect for retrofit installations, it is also a fully-featured shower in its own right, providing the installer or consumer the chance to upgrade the showering experience. It is available in a choice of power ratings: 8.5kW, 9.5kW and 10.8kW; and comes with Mira’s patented Clearscale™ technology, which is proven to reduce limescale by up to 50%.
The fascia has Select & Forget controls with a push button start/stop and an Eco energy saving power setting. The adjustable slide bar is designed to cover the screw holes left by a previous installation, and the unit comes complete with a four-mode full rub clean handset. It also carries a two-year guarantee.
The introduction of the new Jump model delivers the chance to replace and upgrade existing electric shower installations with the minimum of fuss and does away with the need to go down the like-for-like route.
